our services

The Santo Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves a 114 square mile area in the southeastern portion of Palo Pinto County.   We are located approximately 61 miles west of Fort Worth and approximately 192 miles north/northwest of Austin.

The department operates out of two stations and has five units - Squad 1301, Engine 1302, Medic 1303, Medic 1304, and Brush 1305.

Santo VFD provides a full range of services to our community including:



Santo VFD’s membership is made up entirely of volunteers who respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to alarms, fires, motor vehicle accidents, public assistance calls, etc. These men and women possess certifications ranging from Emergency Care Attendant (ECA) (First Responder) to Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic and freely offer their skills, time, and talents to provide protection and peace of mind to the residents of Santo.



As is emblazoned on our equipment and apparel, we do it “So That Others May Live”.
