Toyota Camry vs 18 wheeler - I20 at the eastbound rest area - 7/18/2009 2:53:00 PM

Santo EMS was dispatched to a collision between a car and a tractor trailer on I20 at the entrance of the rest area at mile marker 390 at approximately 2:58PM Saturday afternoon. The car was traveling westbound when it apparently crossed the median and struck a tractor trailer rig traveling eastbound.
Santo VFD responded with engine 1302, Medic 1303 and was assisted by the Brazos VFD and PPSO. On arrival, emergency personnel had to remove the door to extricate the driver. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.
